Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Arrive into Delhi
Welcome to Vardhman's "Exotic Rajasthan Tour"!
On arrival in Delhi, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's
representative to your hotel.
DELHI, the capital of kingdoms and empires is now a sprawling metropolis
with a fascinating blend of the past and the present. It is a perfect
introduction to the composite culture of an ancient land. A window
to the kaleidoscope - that is India.
Relax for a while and later proceed for city tour of New Delhi.
Visit Qutab Minar, Humayun's tomb, Lakshminarayan Temple, a modern
Hindu Temple, Parliament House, Government Secretarial Building and
Connaught place, the shopping centre of New Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi - Agra
Morning drive to Agra. Upon arrival in Agra, check into the hotel.
Visit Red Fort and Taj Mahal.
Red Fort - lies on the bend of the river Yamuna, almost in the heart
of the town. It was built by Akbar as his citadel over the years 1563-73
in the finest architectural style. It has imposing gates and walls
of red sandstone and a moat.
Taj Mahal - This most famous Moghul monument was constructed by Emperor
Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal "the lady of the
Taj". It has been described as the most extravagant monument
ever built for love, for the emperor was heartbroken when Mumtaz died
after 17 years of marriage, during the birth of her 14th child.The
central structure has four small domes surrounding the huge, central
dome. Above the tombs of Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan are false tombs,
a common practice in Indian mausoleums. (Taj Mahal is closed on every
Friday).

Day 03: Agra - Jaipur
After breakfast drive to Jaipur enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri, the birth story of this beautiful city is interesting.
There, in a grotto in Sikri, lived a Muslim Saint , Sheikh Salim
Chishti by name. Akbar hearing of his renown, asked of the blessings
of a son, and when a son was born, not only was the child named
Salim, the site for a mighty and ambitious project - a city - was
chosen near the residence of the saint erected in k1569. Upon arrival
at Jaipur check into your hotel.

Day 04: Jaipur
After breakfast visit Amber Fort. Elephant ride (at your own
cost) from the foothills of the Aravallis to the fort entrance.
Amber Fort : At a distance of 11 kms from Jaipur, Amber was the
ancient capital of Jaipur state. Construction of the fort began
in 1592 by Raja Man Singh, the Rajput commander of Akbar's army
and is a super example of Rajput architecture.
Afternoon, city tour of Jaipur. Visit the City Palace which has
museum having an extensive collection of art, carpets, enamel ware
and weapons; Jantar Mantar - the observatory built my Maharaja Jai
Singh in 1728 and the façade of Hawa Mahal.

Day 05: Jaipur - Pushkar
After breakfast drive to Pushkar and on arrival, transfer to
your hotel.
Relax for a while.
Later proceed for the sightseeing of Pushkar.
Pushkar happens to be the holiest places according to the Hindus
as it is considered that Lord Brahma (the Creator) and his wife
Saraswati (the godess of learning and music) performed a ritual
in the lake. Here we visit the only Brahma temple, before intermingling
with the local colours in the local bazaar.

Day 06: Pushkar - Deogarh
Drive to Deogarh. Located 135 km from Udaipur on Udaipur-Ajmer
route, on a hillock and encircled by the town was built in 1670
AD by Rawar Dwarkadasji of the Sisodia dynasty. On arrival, check-in
at your pre-booked hotel.

Day 07: Deogarh-Udaipur
This morning after a lesiurely breakfast drive to Udaipur. Upon
arrival check into your hotel.
Sightseeing tour of Udaipur, one of the most beautiful cities in
all of Rajasthan, better known as cities of Lake, founded by Maharana
Udaipur, the places of interest include City Palace which has several
carved balconies, arches and decorated pillars, Zenana Mahal, Fateh
Prakash, Durbar Hall and Shambhu Niwas.
Also visit Jagdish temple, Sahelion-ki-Bari (queen's resort for
the friends).

Day 08: Udaipur -Mount Abu
After breakfast drive to Mt Abu. On arrival, check into your
hotel.
Enjoy boating at the Nakki Lake and visit the temples and the museum.

Day 09: Mount Abu
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Mt Abu. Visit
the Dilwara Temples during the day. The architecture of these temples
is very interesting and famous.
Relax during the evening.

Day 10: Mount Abu - Jodhpur
This morning after breakfast drive to Jodhpur. On arrival check
in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 11: Jodhpur
This morning after breakfast proceed for a village safari in
the jeep and have a rare glimpse into the rich culture and true
essence of India. Abundant wildlife (game) and memorable moments
of the great desert landscape fascinates one while driving along
the countryside. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jodhpur - gateway
to the desert beyond, home of the Rathors of Marwar, visit the Mehrangarh
Fort, rising up a hilly scarp, built on the advice of a hermit,
overlooking the city in the image of a long sentinel. Inside the
Fort are a number of palaces added by successive rulers. In this
palace you would see different miniature paintings & cradle
room. After this you would visit Jaswant Thada Memorial.

Day 12: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer
After breakfast drive to Jaisalmer. Upon arrival at Jaisalmer
check into your hotel.
Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 13: Jaisalmer
After breakfast proceed for full day sightseeing tour of The
Golden City - Jaisalmer. It is in the heart of the Great Indian
Desert. Its temple, fort and palaces are all built of yellow stone.
The city is a mass of intricately carved buildings, facades and
elaborate balconies. Visit the JAISALMER FORT - The oldest living
Fort in the world. (This is the highlight of the tour) See the Patwon-Ki-Havelies,
Salim-Singh-Ki-Haveli and Gandhi Sagar Tank. Also visit Barabagh
Hill. In the afternoon, proceed to the SAM SAND DUNES for visiting
the typical Rajasthani Desert Village. View the sunset from the
dunes, as the sky is set on fire. Return to the village for dinner
amidst Rajasthani musicians playing haunting tunes.

Day 14: Jaisalmer -Nagaur- Bikaner
After breakfast proceed with the safari and reach Bikaner enroute
visit NAGAUR. Upon arrival at Bikaner check into your hotel.

Day 15: Bikaner
Bikaner is named after its founder Rao Bikaji in 1488. Long
before this, the city was a trade center on the caravan routes from
Africa and West Asia. Bikaners dominant features are rippling
sands and abundant sunshine. The city stands on an elevation, enclosed
by a 7 kms. wall, which can be entered from 5 gates. Bikaner City
is bolstered by imposing walls and has a 16th century fort housing
old palaces, temples and mosque. Founded by Raja Rai Singh, the
fort is distinguished by its long range of 37 pavilions, a line
of balconies and aerial windows of varying designs. Also visit Lallgarh
Palace, the museum, Bhanda Sagar Jain and Deshnoke Rat temple.

Day 16: Bikaner - Mandawa
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Bikaner. The
city is also called the "Camel Country". Visit the camel-breeding
farm - the only one in Asia. Visit KARNI MATA TEMPLE. Afternoon
drive to Mandawa. Upon arrival at Mandawa check into your hotel.

Day 17: Mandawa - Delhi
After breakfast proceed for city tour of Mandawa.
Visit Mandawa, found in 1755 by Thakur Nawal Singh and still the
home of his descendants. See beautiful frescoes, havelis and mansions.
Mandawa castle, one of the finest castles of Rajasthan, is now a
hotel and house of collections of armories, costumes of ancestors,
canons from 1820, ancient coins, numismatic collection and many
other interesting items, preserved in a museum. A walking tour of
the painted 'havelis' of some of the leading business families of
the country. and visit Mahensar and Dundlod meeting the local village
chief.
Afternoon drive to Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi check into your
hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 18: Delhi
After breakfast proceed for city tour of Old Delhi.
Visit Red Fort, built in 1648 by Mughal Emperor Shahjehan, Jama
Masjid, one of the largest Mosque of India, Raj Ghat and Shanti
Vana, the cremation sites of Mahatama Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru.
Also drive past Chandni Chowk, shopping centre of Old Delhi.
Later in the evening transfer to the airport to catch flight for
your onward destinations with sweet and unforgettable memories of
